Foster Care & Adoption
Call to Care empowers First Baptist Prattville to care for orphans and families in crisis. When we extend care and love, it is a reflection of how Christ cares and loves us. It is a picture of the gospel.

- Currently, there are 6,000 children in Alabama's foster care system.
Four ways to answer the call
Call on God in Prayer
Be part of an organized prayer group meeting regularly to pray for foster and adoptive families and the Call to Care ministry. There will be designated times of prayer as families bring children into their home and attend important meetings and court dates. This team will also work on special projects to show love and support to Autauga County Department of Human Resources and partnering organizations. Team Leader: Kim Kervin
Acts of Service
Join a care community that supports and serves foster, adoptive and kinship placement families. Each care community is linked to a specific family. This community will serve families in a variety of ways such as weekly meals, help with transporting a child to medical appointments or activities, or by providing clothing and means of encouragement. Team Leader: Julie Parmer & Anna Stockman
Receive Training
Become a licensed foster, adoptive or respite home through a designated agency that First Baptist Prattville helps organize and facilitate. Training will be held on our campus. A small group will also launch to help families prepare for training. Team Leader: Ashli Gordon
Mentoring
Be a mentor to foster and adoptive families by providing needed wisdom, encouragement and support. Even if you have never fostered or adopted a child, you may have the encouragement a family needs. Team Leader: Jennifer Barrett
Coffee & Connect
Coffee and Connect is a time for adoptive and foster moms to fellowship with one another. We meet at West Main Coffee Shop each fifth Wednesday from 6PM to 7PM. Childcare is provided upon request. Please make plans to join us and fellowship with others that are walking through a similar journey! Email Julie Parmer for childcare requests and any questions.
Prayer Walk
Join us for a prayer walk on May 7 at 7 AM. We will gather at the Autauga County DHR and then walk to the Probate Office and Courthouse. The prayer walk will conclude by 7:30 AM. All ages are encouraged to attend.
