Becoming a Member
Make FBC Prattville your home church
- I've never been a member of a church, but I'm interested in joining. What's my first step?- The first step in being a member of First Baptist Prattville is to become a Christian. God sent Jesus, His perfect Son, to rescue and redeem us. - We are sinful, broken people in desperate need of a Savior. Jesus lived a perfect life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the grave three days later. He conquered sin and death in our place. - We become a new Christian when we repent of our sin and place our trust in Jesus alone to save us. Repentance is a genuine turning from sin toward God. - The second step is baptism. Baptism is the way we go public with our faith in Jesus. It is a beautiful picture of the gospel as believers are immersed in water in the same way Jesus, died, was buried, and was raised to life. - Pastors are available down front after each service to discuss becoming a follower of Jesus, baptism, and church membership. We’d love to talk to you and answer any questions you have.
- I'm currently a member of another church. How do I become a member of FBCP?- Any person who has repented of sin, placed their trust in Jesus alone to save them, and has been baptized by immersion as a public display of this faith are eligible for membership. - The next step is to meet with a pastor to discuss membership. Pastors are available down front after each service.
- Why should I become a member of FBC Prattville?- Joining a church is both an act of obedience to God and a personal decision. Every Christian should be a member of a local church where they can grow and serve others. - There are a number of faithful churches in the River Region. We encourage you to find one and invest your life there. We’d love for it to be First Baptist Prattville!
- I've recently joined First Baptist Prattville. What's next for me?- Your next step is finding a Sunday School class. This is where a large church like First Baptist Prattville becomes a small church. - This is how you meet other believers, engage in Bible study and discussion, and serve with one another. We are happy to help you find the perfect group for you.
