Welcome to Preschool Ministry

Babies - Kindergarten

Children are a top priority at FBC, and we believe it's important to plant seeds of faith early in a child's life. Our preschool ministry is a place for children to be themselves and learn more about the One who created and deeply loves them.

Your First Visit

We want your first visit to be enjoyable, so here are a few things to know and plan for:

  • Use the back parking lot nestled between Washington Avenue and 4th street. You'll notice an overhang entrance with two main doors.
  • Once inside, you'll see a Welcome Desk with a greeter. Let them know this is your first time, and they will help you register your children and find the appropriate classrooms.
  • The check-in process usually takes about ten minutes and depending on the nature of your child in a new setting, it's wise to plan for 15-20 minutes your first time.
  • After your first visit, you'll be entered into our system. Every visit afterwards, you should go directly to the computer check in. There, you will find your child's name by a simple search.
  • We ask that all visitors and members check their children in before going to class.
  • Please note: if you are visiting a Sunday School class and attending worship, your child may be in different, but close by, classroom at pick-up time. Talk to your greeter, and she'll let you know.
What You'll Find

You will find a ministry team that LOVES children, appropriately prepares each week for your child, and will meet your child's needs while you are worshiping. Our facility is kept clean, safe and secure, and all classrooms are designed with children in mind.

Most importantly, you'll find that Biblical truth is taught. We have a strategy of teaching the entire Bible to all preschoolers and kindergartners. You'll be amazed at all your child will learn in a few short hours!

Curriculum and Parent Resources
Parent Commissioning Application

Parent Commissioning is an important time in the life of a child's family and First Baptist Prattville. Parent Commissioning is like a child dedication service, but with the priority focus on commissioning parents to raise the child to know and love God. It is also a time where we, as a church, will commit to serve alongside parents in helping their child know Jesus. If you recently had a baby, adopted or joined our church, you may want to participate in this celebration time. In order to participate, parents must be growing Christ followers and members of First Baptist Prattville. If parents are participating together in the service, they must be following a biblical plan for marriage. Applications are required in order to participate. Click here to apply. Parent Commissioning happens twice a year, fall and spring. If you have questions regarding the above description and requirements for Parent Commissioning, contact Julie Parmer.
