What Makes children Wednesdays Unique
We call our Wednesday nights Music and Missions. Our kids get 45 minutes of music time (choir) and then 45 minutes of missions time. All lessons are age appropriate. What's neat is that kids will get INVOLVED in missions. Whether packing diaper bags to donate to a pregnancy center or doing community service around Prattville, we aren't just learning ABOUT missions. We are ON mission.
Wednesday hours
We start at 5:45 p.m. and end at 7:15 p.m. We encourage children to participate in both the music and missions portions, but if you cannot do both, that's fine! Choir stops and missions begins at 6:30 p.m.
what we teach
Our choir classes are usually taught by volunteers who have gifts in music and singing. The FBC Worship Ministry assists in providing music perfect for the grade levels. You also get the opportunity to hear your child sing in two yearly programs (Christmas and spring).
For our missions portion, we use a curriculum called Children's Missions (by WMU). Our boys and girls are separated during this time. Boys participate in Royal Ambassaders (RAs), and girls have Girls in Action (GAs) time. FBC Prattville is one of the only local churches using this curriculum to teach a basic awareness of God's love for all people, and how we get to be part of that mission.
our teachers
Our teachers WANT to be here. They love kids, and love teaching children the Word! We have high standards for our teachers, and we realize the responsibility we have when caring for your child. Therefore, all teachers (and volunteers) are screened through Ministry Safe, giving us background checks on those who work with our kids. This program also provides training that we require all teachers to complete.
special needs
We are sensitive to all dietary and medical needs. It's important that you let us know exactly what your child needs. We want you and your child to feel comfortable during this time, so please, let us know how we can assist. If you'd like to discuss this prior to coming, feel free to call Megan Woodham, our Children's Ministry Director.

AMENITIES
The children's hall is on the second floor of the church and is easily accessible from the main level children's check-in. The classrooms are set up for children to learn and be comfortable. You'll find appropriate tables and chairs, and we strive to keep the rooms clean and safe.
