Who We Are

Who We Are

FIRST BAPTIST PRATTVILLE is a community of believers gathered under the name of Jesus. Since 1838, we have sought to answer life’s toughest questions with God’s perfect Word. We are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and accept the Baptist Faith and Message (2000) as our doctrinal statement. Through dynamic worship, programs to help every member of your family grow in their relationship with Jesus and opportunities for believers to serve God with their gifts and talents, FBC is leading our generation to be transformed through God’s living Word.

Through worship, every believer connects with the Lord on a personal level, both individually and in corporate settings. On Sunday mornings we offer a traditional service at 9:30 and a contemporary service at 11:00. Preschool childcare is available at both Sunday services.  No matter which service you choose, come as you are!

We offer choir programs for every age at FBC. Our adult choir leads in the traditional worship service each Sunday, and preschool, children’s and student choirs perform throughout the year. We also have opportunities for musicians in our orchestra and praise bands and singers for the contemporary worship service.

From the moment a new Christian begins a relationship with Christ, he or she begins to grow in their understanding of their new faith. We are here to help you grow!

Sunday Small Groups

At FBC, Sunday School is for everyone! We offer Sunday small groups for every age at 8:15, 9:30 and 11:00.

Wednesday Night Options

Wednesdays at FBC have something for the whole family! There are short term topical Bible studies for adults (typically 6-12 weeks), as well as student worship time and music and missions for preschool and children.

Journey Groups

These small groups (6-12 people) meet throughout the week and are designed to grow believers into disciples who make disciples. Groups are ongoing, but anyone is welcome anytime.

FBC is a church on mission! The serve ministry expands the Kingdom of God through local, national and international ministries and missions. We offer many opportunities for believers of all ages to share their faith with others and to help them see the Truth of the Gospel. We also seek to meet the needs of the community around us. We believe when we meet people’s needs, we create an opportunity to share the Gospel.
