Carter Reeves

Associate Worship Pastor

Carter serves as Associate Worship Pastor, which includes leading worship in the contemporary and student services, as well as overseeing the church’s technology and media team.  Carter grew up in Flowery Branch, GA and began his relationship with Christ in 1996 at a FCA golf camp.  He responded to call to ministry during his freshman year of college. He went on to receive his Bachelor of Music from Samford University in 2005 and his M.A. in Worship Ministries from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2011. Before joining the FBC staff in June 2005, Carter served at FBC Birmingham. Some of his hobbies include racquetball, listening to podcasts, and spending time with his wife and daughters. When it comes to a favorite food, it is too close to call between a taco and a burger. However, he is also on a quest to find the world's best chicken finger.  His favorite TV show is “LOST,” and he enjoys vacationing in Orange Beach. Some of his favorite books include Enemies of the Heart by Andy Stanley and Worship Matters by Bob Kauflin. His favorite quote comes from Andy Stanley, “When faced with a decision, ask yourself: in light of my past experiences, current circumstances, and future hopes and dreams, what’s the wise thing for me to do?”
