The Gospel and the Public Square

The Gospel and the Public Square
Sunday, October 25, 2020, 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM

Location: Worship Center, First Baptist Church, 138 S Washington St., Prattville, AL US 36067

How do Christians live out their identities as citizens of the Kingdom of Christ while also maintaining a faithful, gospel witness in the public square? Every election cycle seems to increase the political divide in America, and Christians are often left to figure out how their faith in Jesus should impact their participation in the political process.

How, then,  do we engage in the public square while still keeping our focus on Jesus and His Kingdom? Join Pastor Peyton Hill Sunday, October 25 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. for a seminar on The Gospel and the Public Square. We will open our Bibles and allow God's Word to inform us about how the gospel should intersect with politics. Our time together will not be spent promoting any candidate or political party, but rather we will seek to grow together in our understanding of important issues and how Christians should relate to other people when it comes to voting.

Childcare for babies through kindergarten is available upon reservation by Thursday, October 22. Email your reservation to Jennifer Scarbrough.
